Requirements

Ubuntu, memory, storage, and Intel SGX with DCAP for a secret-4 node on 1.27.2.

You need a physical host, or an Azure DCsv3 or DCdsv3 VM, that meets these limits before you run Quick Setup or the Manual path.

  • Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04.
  • 32 GB RAM minimum, 20 GB or more of swap. 64 GB RAM recommended.
  • 512 GB SSD minimum. 1 TB NVMe recommended.
  • Intel CPU with SGX through SPS. SGX through Intel ME does not work. AMD does not work.
  • The machine must expose /dev/sgx_enclave and /dev/sgx_provision. The setup script already stops if those are missing.
  • On a physical host, BIOS must expose SGX and DCAP. On Azure DCsv3 or DCdsv3, pick a Gen2 image. See Boards for verified motherboards.
